This year's second round pick for Valencia made his debut with the Redwood ///city Rocketmen in the A League this past week. Twenty year old Juan Genge did not disappoint the 3,563 fans in the stands.
In a pitchers' duel that was decided by a final score of 1-0, Genge pitched five shutout innings allowing 6 hits while striking out 5 and walking none.
Closer Ken Dyke pitched a perfect ninth while notching his 12th save.
The only offense generated on the day was a solo home run by Gabriel Thomas. The round-tripper was Thomas' 11th of the season.
With an overall rating of 45, Genge is expected to make three starts with Redwood City prior to moving up to AA Saturn.
