While things did not turn out very well on the scoreboard for Valencia during the 2063 season, things did take a positive step in the pocketbook.

Going into the 2059 season in the first year for the current GM and his cronies, the balance was in the red at a -$10.7M. Things got better in 2060 with a starting balance of $11M on the plus side and then made it to $20M in 2061.
Prior to the 2061 season, the front office made a major push to get a playoff berth with disastrous results. Not only did the Stars miss the playoffs but the financial bottom dropped out. Valencia entered the 2062 season with only a $2.3M starting balance and then dropped even more in 2063 to a measly $300K.

As the books closed for the Stars in 2063 and looking ahead to 2064, it looks like the 2064 balance will be $20M plus another $17M in bonus cash after the stadium maintenance expenses are debited.

The Stars did take a hit in fan interest declining from 63 at the beginning of last year to 59 on the heels of a four point drop the season prior. However, the team revenue managed to slightly increase from $105.5M last year up to $106.8M this season thanks to some creative ticket pricing after talking to some of the other GM’s around the league.

Once you factor in the overall team expenses un 2063 totaling $69.5M plus a little cash from trades and whatnot, the final profit for this past season ended up being an even $39M.

While the locals are wondering if the Stars plan on making a big splash in this year’s free agent market, do not be surprised if Valencia pts for the slow burn this time around after the failure in 2061. It is likely that player developmental budget will be increased from $5M and that the coach/player development improvements will continue via the PP system especially since no PP will be needed to make the finances stay afloat. The inside scoop says that the Valencia presence in the IFA market will probably stay in line with the league proposed maximums since GM Greathouse doesn’t like putting too many eggs into that basket.
