After enduring an 0-6 spurt the previous week, the Valencia Stars toggled the switch back to the 'ON' position as they took a pair from San Fernando and then won three of four games from the Vancouver Mounties.

Sam MacPherson started things off against San Fernando by allowing two runs over 6.2 innings in a 6 to 2 victory. Santiago Dieguez and Sumiteru Okubo each clubbed a homer to provide all of the offense that was needed.

The Stars got another strong pitching performance the next day from Gerardo Rea as he pitched six shutout innings while striking out seven in a 4-1 win. Third baseman Jorge Garcia led the cause by driving in two of the four runs.

As the games moved from Valencia up to Vancouver the strong pitching continued as Shiro Takahashi went 6.1 innings and allowing only 1 run in a 5-2 win. Ed Bush cranked out a pair of home runs of the solo variety to provide the spark needed against former Valencia pitcher Juan Garcia.

Vancouver struck back with a 4-2 win but Valencia starter Kinzo Iwamoto pitched another quality start in a losing effort allowing two runs in six innings.

The first night of the week without a quality start was from Dana Pualani but the Stars had enough firepower to come out with a 9-5 win. Fist baseman Gabriel Bacaloglu hit a grand slam in the first inning and Bernd Helwich added another homer to offset the four runs allowed by Paulani in 5.2 innings.

In the series finale, Sam MacPherson was cruising along allowing no runs until the sixth inning when he gave up five runs. However the Stars were able to muster up 6 runs of their own including 3 runs in the top of the 9th to win 6 to 5. Ed Bush hit his third homer of the week and Zenobius Kazantziakis hit a bases-loaded two-run single with two outs in the ninth after a Tyler Conklin error.

Manager Sher Domki stated after the final game, "If our starters can get us into the seventh inning and keep us in the game, I like our chances each night we go out there. It is nice to be off the struggle bus, if only for a week at a time."
