With the September call-ups just around the corner and the playoff picture for Valencia being non-existent, some of the locals are buzzing about the potential new faces to be seen at Dunn Field for the month of September.

Players who are possibly being added:

LF Ed Bush OVR - 45 POT - 50 CON 6 POW - 7 EYE- 4
A second round pick in the 2061 draft, Ed would probably have been on the given list to be in Valencia September if it were not for having three other outfield prospects in front of him. After starting off in AA where the 21 year-old hit .295/.372, Ed went on to AAA where he posted up numbers to the likes of a .309 batting average, a .363 on-base percentage and 14 homers. Ed's lack of speed (1 stolen base) and plate discipline (1 walk in every 13 at bats) is mainly what puts him 4th on the outfielder prospect list within the Valencia farm system.

3B Jorge Garcia OVR - 45 POT - 45 CON 7 POW - 5 EYE- 5
Jorge came to Valencia as part of a trade with Charlotte this season. The former second round pick had success in AAA this past season hitting .359/.404 with 15 homers but struggled during his stint with the big club in Charlotte hitting .236 in 161 at bats.

2B Shu-De Sa OVR - 40 POT - 50 CON 7 POW - 6 EYE- 5
Acquired via a trade with Vancouver, the 21 year-old split the season between AA and AAA. In AA the former second round draft pick hit about .360/.460 with 5 dingers while in AAA he hit .353/.407 with 8 homers in 173 at bats.

C Bernd Helwich OVR - 45 POT - 45 CON 6 POW - 6 EYE- 5
Bernd was a 7th round pick in the 2061 draft. The 21 year-old spent his first full season in AAA this year hitting .299/.362 with 10 homers. Rumors are saying that Bernd has the inside track to play in Valencia along side Bradley Russel who was just called up after the trade of Luis Gonzales to Vancouver.

Bernd looks like a starting catcher as long as his intangibles don’t hurt him too badly.
