Antar bin Mahir The 20 year-old was obtained as part of the trade with Vancouver for Juan Garcia and Tyler Conklin. Antar is 3-2 to date with an ERA of 2.36 and a WHIP of 1.21. Antar has an ERA+ of 143 and is on pace for a 1.4 WAR this season. Antar's current overall rating is sitting at 20 with a potential of 50. His Stuff/Movement/Control potentials are 8/5/6. Antar will likely be moved up to the A-level ballclub prior to the end of the season.
Bao-tian Teoh The former first-round/12th overall pick from the 2060 draft has been somewhat of a disappoint up to this point in his career from a development perspective. Bao had an overall rating of 55 when he was drafted but since that point he has been downgraded to a rating of 40. Although the ratings are dismal, Bao had two seasons with the Rookie club posting ERA's of 2.48 and 2.62. So far in 2062 Bao is 2-5 with a 3.55 ERA and a WHIP of 1.42. Bao is on pace to post a WAR of 1.5. Bao will likely spend the rest of this season in Saturn.
Pedro Guevara The draftee from the 8th round of the 2059 draft has had an excellent start to the 2062 season. Pedro is currently 7-0 with a 2.37 ERA and 0.86 WHIP. The 21 year-old is on pace for a 2.5 WAR season. Pedro has a current overall rating of 20 with a potential of 40 and a 6/5/6 set of Stuff/Movement/Control set of potential ratings. Pedro has only issued 4 walks in 57 innings of work while striking out 48.
Ling-kung Yan Ling-kung is known as Kong to the locals. He is in his third season in SA and so far it has been his best. Kong's pitching so far has resulted in a 4-3 record thus far with an ERA of 2.65 and a WHIP of 0.98. At this point Kong is on pace for a 2.7 WAR and an ERA+ of 127. With 45 K's and 5 walks in 51 innings, Kong's 100 mph fastball and his 5/5/6 Stuff/Movement/Control is something to be considered. Kong will likely be moved up to the A level club later this season.
George Strode - The 18 year-old was picked in the 5th round of this past draft. After four starts with the Rookie club, George was moved to the SA league where he has allowed 1 run in his last two starts. George has struck out 16 batters in 11.2 innings with the Saturn Ringers but has an ERA of 4.63 and a WHIP of 1.80 overall. George has an overall rating of 35 with potential Stuff/Movement/Control ratings of 6/5/5. There are no plans for George to move beyond SA this season.
Paul Belkap The 21 year-old former third-round pick is spending his third season in Saturn. Paul has a 3.60 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP in 8 starts so far this season. George has a projected WAR of 1.5 this season and has an overall potential rating of 35. Paul will need to make the move to A level ball next season to have a chance within the Valencia organization.
These 6 starters are helping to fill the pipeline within the Valencia farm system although only one or two may ever ake it to the major league club at some point.
