The Stars after a slow April of 11-16 went into a huge funk in May and ended up winning only 6 games while losing 21 games...Just ahorrible month for the Stars who are now in last place and already 26 games out of first, and is only June....June didnt start off much better as the Stars are 2-7 so far..The Stars seem to be scoring runs ok, not great but its there pitching that has totally fallen apart...So far the Stars allowed 322 runs against the 275 runs scored....You cant win that many games that way...Vancouver so far has 224 RA, California 260 RA, and even Hawaii 298 RA are lower than the Stars...
The starters have a combined ERA of 4.57 which is the highest in the JL league....
SP Jim Seddon is the only starter doing good....So far Seddon is 6-3 3.47 ERA in 13 games started....The biggest surprise is SP Keith Cabana who in 13 starts is 1-8 with a 5.02 era...Cabana has a career 3.59 and 102 wins so he is off to his worst start ever....Then Vet SP Devon Hyngary is 3-3 4.66 in 12 starts...Hyngary also is off to a slow start....All three SP which have been the core for many seasons are a combined 10-14 and hopefully all three can get back to normal so the Stars can start winning again....

One day we hope other GMs will no longer have cause to use the phrase "even Hawaii."

Al has taken to talking about himself in the third person as a multiple.

I cannot remember Lee ever having a really bad team, his are usually no worse than mediocre.
