Galaxy Gas 2060.56 - Extension Signed for Carlos Schumann

The Valencia front office inked a year deal to solidify the middle infield triad when it inked a one year extension with 2B/SS Carlos Schumann. The deal details include a $1.3M for the 2061 season. Reports had that the arbitration could go from $1.4M to $1.8M. The 23 year-old and former first rounder plays about every other day between spelling Tyler Conklin at shortstop and Miller Shed at second base.
Carlos’ 2060 season included a .247 batting average over 295 at bats while compiling a WAR of 0.9 which matched his WAR in 2059. Carlos had 11 steals in 12 attempts.
In the field, Schumann displayed some adaptable glovework as he only had 5 errors in 204 chances at shortstop and 3 errors in 119 chances at second base.
