In game three of the opening series with the Hawaii Tropics, it took extra innings to determine who was going to walk off the field with the win.

In today's matchup, it was Hawaii that jumped on the scoreboard in the first inning and they did it in grand fashion scoring five times. Accounting for the outburst was Mitch Wareham's 2-run homer, a RBI double by Carlos Sánchez followed by a 2-run scoring single off the bat of Frank McMillan.

All stayed quiet until the 5th inning when Valencia had an outburst of its own to close the gap at 5-4. The scoring started when José Vargas hit a RBI single and Qadir bin Gamal hit a sacrifice fly to score another.

Miller Shed then hit a two-run shot over the left field wall to bring valencia within a run.

In the bottom of the 6th inning, the stars tied the score when Koray Kapkin hit a home run that barely cleared the left field wall.

In the 10th inning, Hawaii scored again to go ahead 6 to 5 when Carlos Sánchez hit a single to right-center to score a run but the Stars answered in the bottom half of the inning when Miller Shed hit his second home run of the night.

The deciding run was scored when Jake Diamond hit a grounder into the deep hole at shortstop to score the runner from third to close the scoring for the evening.

Miller Shed was the offensive star for Valencia going 2 for 6 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI.

Siua Hooheno (0-1) was tagged with the loss giving up 1 run in 2 innings while Utken Gocek (1-0) gained then win.
