After being silent in the International Free Agent draft in 2059, the Stars’ front office decided to let loose of the money bags a little and sign two players via the IFA draft. Each player signed with a $2M signing bonus which kept Valencia within its IFA signing budget.
Valencia’s first signing was with 17 year-old catcher Titus Vasdeki. The native Greek has a slightly above average arm with the ability to get the bat on the ball. At this time he is on the edge of beginning next season with the Rookie club in Russelville.
When asked, the Valencia GM stated, “Our reports show that Tutus is a natural born leader in the dugout as well as having the ability to get on base with above average power.”
The Stars then signed centerfielder Quentin Belgrove. Like Titus, Quentin also has an above average glove with good contact and power ratings. Fans could very well see Quentin this season with Russelville as well.
Having both of these young players will be a good test for the new coaching staff at Russelville as the club has had all three coaches replaced at that level.
