VALENCIA – The Stars will be welcoming center fielder Frédérick Brisset back to the dugout tonight as they try to prevent a series sweep by the visiting Nine. Brisset suffered a PCL strain in the spring that kept him out of the lineup to start the season. Last year, Brisset had a batter WAR of 4.9 and OPS+ of 118. Jorge Rincón (.167/.231/.250), who had been playing in the place of the injured Belgian, has been sent back to AAA Mars.
The Stars lineup looks like this tonight, as they take on Yellow Springs and their probable starter, Carlos Valle:
1 L Fernando Archuleta RF .273
2 R Kenan Reis DH .397
3 L Dennis French LF .343
4 L Jesús Yan 3B .233
5 R Carlos Martínez 2B .286
6 R Frédérick Brisset CF .000
7 L Tony Hernández 1B .262
8 L Reynante Alvero SS .227
9 R Arturo Estrada C .184
Lefty Greg Jackson will take the mound for Valencia.
Tomorrow night, the Stars begin a three-game home series against the Bears, then they take a Northwestern road trip, beginning with a series at Vancouver, which starts on Sunday.
