The 45 year old New Yorker, spent most of his playing career in the minors however he did play 2 seasons in the BBA for the Indy Grasshoppers the pinnacle being the 2028 season when he pitched in 60 games.




Pitching Coach:- Adam Donaldson.

57 year old North Carolina native Donaldson played just 9 games in rookie ball for the Berkeley Golden Bears, Donaldson prefers power pitchers who blow hitters away and isn't afraid to teach his pitchers the art of chin music.




Hitting Coach:- Alfredo Bermúdez.

41 year old Dominican Alfredo Bermúdez gained his baseball experience in a 14 year career split between the Las Vegas Hustlers and the Vancouver Jackrabbits but mostly with the Hustlers as a 2B, worked with GM Thomas in the past when he was the hitting coach of the Athens Fighting Centaurs rookie league team the Hokkaido Huskies.

Did you know Bermúdez was one for the Grand Slam, he hit them against the Fort Worth Stampede in 2023 in Single A ball, the Alabama Slammers in the same season in Double A ball. His next 2 came against the Racine Raiders in Triple A Ball in 2025 & 2026, he didn't stop once he reached the majors with Grand Slams against the New Orleans Crawdads (2026), Halifax Hawks (2030), Brooklyn Robins (2032), Hawaii Tropics (2032) and the Atlantic City Gamblers (2033) all coming for the Las Vegas franchise

OF Brent Thompson

Outfielder Brent Thompson came back from the off season for early physical checks in the best shape he as done in the time he's been with us. If he puts the stats up like he did last season we could be looking at a promotion to AA ball by the All Star Break.

RP Howard Wetzel

Over the top 20 year old finese pitcher who pitches high 80s to low 90s, pans out to be a bullpen pitcher could start at a push. Added a bit of velocity to his pitches over the winter, just touching the 90s. Not reached his potential yet but an improvement from the end of last season.

OF Dennis Caldwell

25 year old rightfielder, maybe time to let him go. No improvement over the winter, also lost a bit of pop in his bat and not picking up curve balls as well as previously.

INF Joe MacHeth

Not our top guy at 1st but at only 23 worth keeping around for another season or two, as improved during the winter. Hitting the ball better, improved his home run power noticeably.

Improved his contact over the winter, his glove concerns me. More likely a DH and a back up outfielder than an everyday guy.

He's improving his strikeouts and keeping the ball down but I think he's going to walk as many this year as he did last year, maybe less but not a great deal less.
