Stars Minor League Rebrand Competition.

Post by Clayman » Sat Jan 02, 2021 5:26 am

Well the cats out of the bag, the 5 minor league teams of the Valencia Stars will be moving to different locations before the start of the 2046 season. All 5 will have a space theme running throughout.

The following teams will be replacing the current minor league teams at a cost of $10,000,000, each team being replaced recieving $2,000,000 each in compensation for the early termination of contracts.

The Valencia Stars Triple A team doing battle in the Rupert Horn Memorial League next season will be located in Mars, California replacing the San Jose Sharks who have been the Stars Triple A team since 1999. The new team will be named the Mars Martians, they will play at Marvins Field.

The Van Nuys Devil Dogs who have also been playing in the Stars minor league system since 1999, this time in the Double A Warren Cox League will be replaced by the Jamestown Comets playing at Hieb Field in the state of North Dakota. The Comets will play at the hometown of Richard Hieb the retired NASA astronaut.

The Single A team of the Charley Pegler League the Lancaster Cactus will be replaced by the Redwood City Rocketmen, located in California, Redwood City just like Jamestown is the birthplace of a former NASA astronaut this time Rex J Walheim whose name will adorn the Rocketmen ballpark Walheim Park.

The Angela Drake League will have a new Stars minor league team in the guise of the Saturn Ringers who will be plying their trade in Indiana, they will be replacing the Stillwater Shockers who have been Valencia's S A team since 2035.

Rounding out the minor league system in rookie ball are the Russelville Rockets in the Spike Nolan League, the Rockets will be replacing the Sterling Super Stars a minor league affiliate of the Stars since 1999. Russelville is situated in Arkansas playing at Wilcutt Field named after former NASA astronaut Terrence W Wilcutt a native of Russelville.

A competition is now open for the fans of the Valencia Stars to design the logos, caps and uniforms of the minor league teams, the winning entrants will each receive access to an executive suite on Opening Day at Valencia's new ballpark yet to be named. They will also receive a choice of 2 season tickets to Valencia's ballpark for the next 5 years or 4 season tickets to a Stars minor league team of their choice for the next 10 years.

*Note this competition is open to any GM within the Brewster world be that the BBA, UMEBA or waiting list. I've been informed PP will be awarded for the winning entrants. I'm letting entrants have free reign, however I'd prefer the Mars Martians have a Marvin the Martian take on it.

In space, up and down are relative.

I would hope you'd sell astronaut ice cream at all the parks.
