Star Gazing - 2044.001
Upon learning that Montreal will (again) be playing under the pristine lights of a brand new(ish) Ubisoft Field, the Stars front office has begun making plans to replace aging Honigsfeld Field. The open air park built in 1995 has certainly seen better days, and fans have been calling for its replacement for years.
It has been rumored that the stadium has become a financial drain that has been ignored by the front office. GM Greg Smothers seemed to support this by stating "We are exploring all options regarding a ballpark that will give us a solid financial footing for long-term success. We will have more details as things progress."
Other anonymous sources inside team headquarters were more blunt saying that the team was "downright envious" of other ballparks, and
"deeply concerned about stadium finances" and has fast-tracked the project. "Expect lots of news this season..we've got to get this done quickly. With some of the advances in construction its opening day 2045 or bust".

Always nice to put your own stamp on things, and this is an easy way to do it.
