The Stars after the first to months of the season are two games behind .500 which is not where they wanted to be... Both the offense, team batting of .264 which is 10th best or the bullpen 5.13 era, 10 best need to pick it up now before the Stars slip to far behind..The Stars are now 6 games out and the next few weeks are key if they plan to challenge for first place in the Pacific division...

Forty year old outfielder Gary Barr is looking great so far this seaon...Barr has had a few naging injuries which has kept him out a few weeks but he is hitting .294 14 doubles, 12 homers and has drove in 31 runs...Barr needs only 39 hits to reach 3,300 for his career...

Outfielder Jonathan Armas was given the starting LF job and has done a great job with the bat so far...Armas .297 batting average leads the team and his 11 homers and 33 rbi's are both second on the team...Armas could end up with 25 to 30 homers this season....

SS/3B Tim Miller has been hot the last 8 games...Miller who strained hamstring, and missed 4-5 weeks is hitting .480 with two homers over the last 8 games...Over all Miller is hitting .352 this season..... :D

A healthy Miller would be great for you. Barr's doing well.
