Valencia Stars: 79-83 (.488) # 9

The Stars end up with a disappointed 2042 season...A few weeks ago the Stars made a nice comeback to 76-76 but the last 2 weeks the Stars ran out of steam going 3-7 and not making to the playoffs. This season again saw the Stars offence producing big number in Homeruns 295 - 2nd in FL, just missed another 300 homerun season. The Stars Batting Average slipped to .260 - 10th in FL, and On-Base Percentage .326 - 14th in FL was way down so Runs Scored 796 - 12th in FL. So it looks like they were hitting all the homeruns with not many base runners... Next season if the Stars can get more people on base the runs will improve.

On the pitching side the overall Earned Run Average was 4.82 - 9th in FL, need to get better next season.. Starting Pitcher Pepe Hernández will be back...Over the last 2 years he has won 23 games so the Stars definably missed him in the rotation. With him the Stars could of won 89 games.. This year the starters ended up with a 4.70 - 6th in FL overall....The pen was a big disappointment this season 5.02 - 11th in FL, you cant win many games when the pen it that bad.. This area really needs to improve next season..The Stars probally bring up this years first round pick
John Olson to work out of the bullpen next season...Olsen had a ruff AAA start as a starter but looked fantastic out of the pen.. This way he can settle in and when hes ready to start he will be ready with experiance.

Hopefully 2043 will be much better than this season, could be a good year.. Maybe a few fixes will get it done.,...

I am truly looking forward to seeing what Olson can do next season. Intently following him ever since you snagged him ONE PICK in front of me!
