Valencia Stars: Playoffs # 9

The Stars rallied to get into the playoffs over the last 10 games...The Stars ended up Clinching the Wild Card slot after going on a 8-2 run the last 10 games,,,But getting into the playoffs was at a huge cost to the Stars...The Stars ace starting pitcher Pepe Hernández will not only miss all of the playoffs but will miss all of 2042 with a Torn rotator cuff injury...

The pitching was the difference for the Stars who were the underdogs going into the California series...
The Stars had 3 starters, José Martínez[/url going 6 innings allowing 1 earned run for the first win 3-1..The pen pitched the last 3 innings for the hold and save.

In game 3 the Stars bounced back with [url=https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 40146.html]Jorge García starting...García pitched 6 innings recored 9 K's, Stars right-hander Jorge García was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. MR url=https://statspl.us/brewster/reports/new ... 31035.html]Grellan Profit[/url] almost blew it allowing 2 runs in 0.1 innings but the Stars hung on for the win holding off a 5-4 win.. Torres picked up his 2nd save..Aaron Haney and Ramón Pagán both hit homeruns to help the offence.
In the 4th and final game young starter Jafar Haamid pitched a solid game, in 6 innings allowed only 1 run, Torres picked up his 3rd save to help with the win...Outfielder Ramón Pagán got another homerun as the Stars squezzed out the win so they can advance to the next round...

The Valencia Stars now move into the next round, Geoghegan Round, and play a very good Vancouver team...
