Watching the Valencia Stars the last 4 seasons is like watching the movie" Ground Hog Day". Each year starts the same, the Stars in the top 3 most of the way, Record breaking offensive performances, Decent pitching, but then comes the last two weeks of August and September. Boom, the Stars start to lose games, pitching falls apart, no clutch hitting, and the Stars drop out of payoff or wild card contention.. Every Year!!!! This year the Stars have fallen behind Hawaii and Seattle who they were ahead most of the year...The Stars chances to make a wild card team has now dropped to only 17 percent... So here we go again, last few weeks of the year and the odds are stacked against the Stars from going any further this season...

The Stars again have some fantastic performances, as the team has pounded out 295 homers which leads the league. The Stars are definably fun to watch... The Stars have 4 players hit over 34-52 homers this season...

This season 2nd year CF Aaron Haney has just been amazing this season... Haney is hitting .309 28 doubles, 8 triples, 52 homers and 108 Rbi's...Haney also 51 stolen bases and has 6.8 WAR. Haney last week batted .522 with 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs and 4 RBIs and won FL player of the week...

SS Ángel Zalapa after a very slow start slowed everyone why he is one of the top SS. Zalapa is having another great season as he is hitting .303 37 homers with 103 Rbi's. Zalapa now has 6 seasons that he has 30 or more homeruns and he had 51 in 2038. With his 103 Rbi's Zalapa now has four seasons in a roll where he has over 100 Rbi's...Another amazing year for Zalapa.

Leftfielder Ramón Pagán is another Star having another amazing season. Pagán is hitting .279 48 dingers and 100 Rbi's and with a few weeks left he could hit 50 homeruns this season. Pagan had 51 last season and between Haney and Pagan the Stars could have 2 players hitting 50 each....This season Pagán now has 4 seasons in a roll with over 40 homers and 3 seasons in a roll with 100 Rbi's…

1B Ellis Curran has a .305 34 94 stat line as he will be the Stars comeback player of the year and 3B Curt Love having another solid year with a .290 29 homers and 71 Rbi's….
Still with all that fire power the Stars looks to be left behind in the play offs again...

Still with all that fire power
