Here we go again. The Stars the last 3 seasons get into the final 6 weeks and slowly they just can get the wins they need...The goal is the wildcard series but this week dropped out as the 4th team as they now trail Hawaii by a half a game... The biggest problem is the Stars in September play only 5 games at home and the rest away. The Stars away this season are 28-31, so they really need to dig in and win games during the stretch run...

The Stars power numbers are off the charts again this season. The homerun total is 274 and could reach 300 before the end of the season... The bullpen is doing well 1st overall and the starting pitching has been weaker 7th overall...

Stars made a big trade for both teams with Charlotte. he Cougars and Stars confirmed this afternoon that a trade had been agreed upon. In the deal, Charlotte will get 20-year-old minor league Brad Parkinson for 22-year-old SP Jafar Haamid. Parkinson was the Stars top prospect as he projects the hit .260 35 homers plus 40 double guy with great speed.. Parkinson should end up Charlotte clean up hitter for many years ahead...Haamid gives the Stars a young SP that could develop into a solid 2 or 3..Haamid has great stuff, 3 solid pitches now, and will be able to go deep in games...The only fall back is the homeruns he might give up...The weakest area in the minors was starting pitching and Haamid gives them a SP now and for many years ahead...Good trade for both teams...

LF Ramón Pagán had a fantasic game last week vs Louisville.. Pagán ripped 3 homers in that game to bring his total for the year to 46.. Last season Pagán hit 51 and he can possibly reach that goal again...Pagán projects to hit 56 with 118 Rbis...

CF Aaron Haney in his second season is having a monster year.. Haney stat line so far is .303 45 93...Haney projects to hit 54 homers and 112 RBI'S...In his last 3 games Haney had 2 of them where he hit 2 homers in a game..At 22 the Stars have many more great seasons with Haney!!!!!
