Valencia Stars: 16-26 (.381) # 2

The Stars start off 2041 with its worst start in 2 years. The Stars offense has been awful, after two great years of being one of the top offences team in the league. The power numbers are still there with 69 team homeruns which is 2nd in the FL but clutch hitting and overall team batting is way off...The team batting average is .255 which is 11th overall and the last 3 years the team batting average has been .275...The Stars need to start hitting or the season will end up a disaster. The pitching is just middle of the road, with a team ERA of 4.74 which is 6th in the JL...
Centerfielder Aaron Haney is off to a great start in his second full season with the Stars. Haney is hitting .306 11 homeruns and 26 Rbi's as the Stars leadoff hitter this season..
Haney also has 15 stolen bases so far this season. Last season Haney had his first full season and what a great start in his first full year with the Stars. Haney had a .320 batting average, 211 hits, 44 doubles, 43 homeruns with 109 Rbi's and stole 56 bases...Fantasic year for Haney.

LF Ramón Pagán is having another great start this season.. Pagán is hitting .292 14 homers with 35 Rbi's...Last few seasons Pagán has been on fire. Last year hitting .280 51 homeruns and 124 RBI'S...Monster season for Pagán.. Pagán is only 24 and he already has 197 homeruns in his short career. Haney and Pagán really make a great 1-2 punch in the lineup.

SS Ángel Zalapa has been off to a very slow start. Zalapa one of the best hitting SS in hte league sure doesnt look like it so far this season...Zalapa is hitting a meek .239 3 homers and only 14 Rbi's… Zalapa over the last 5 seasons has hit 30 plus homers each season...Last season Zalapa hit .303 36 107, so hopefully he can start getting hot soon...If Zalapa gets hots things can change for the Stars.. Now is a good time for Zalapa to start hitting before the Stars fall to far behind..
