Valencia Stars: 84-75 # 7

Post by leejay56 » Thu Nov 28, 2019 11:28 am

The Stars have started fantastic both of the last two years, 2039 and 2040 and then they totally fall apart in July August and September...over that time the Stars are 31-42 after an amazing start winning 50 games and only dropping 29 games...the Stars looked like they had first place nailed but they fell apart the last 3 months...The hard part is the same thing happened last season too...
The Last 3 games should be interesting...The Stars play Long Beach 87-72 who is in 2nd place and like California has locked in the playoff spots...California the number 1 team plays San Fernando 84-75 who has the same record as the Stars...So the Stars have the 3 games to try to get past the Bears. Exciting last 3 games...

Leftfielder Ramón Pagán last week hit his 50th homerun of the year... Pagán had 48 last season but 50 is definitely is a milestone mark for any hitter.. Pagán also has knocked in 123 Rbi's also better than last years 121...Outstanding year for Pagán…

Catcher Takanobu Nishikawa for the last 6 seasons has been the Stars backup...Last season he did get a shot to play more than his average 40 games, started 88 games and hit 19 homeruns with 55 Rbi's...The Stars in 2040 gave him the starting catcher job and has done a great job...In 2040 Nishikawa has hit .268 32 homeruns and knocked in 80 runs...Nishikawa 28 waited a long time for this and has performed great in his first time season...

In his full season as a starter for the Stars Pepe Hernández has looked good...Hernández a 2036 first round pick for the Stars ended up this season with one more start a 13-6 record 4.46 Era and has thrown 197 innings and will go over 200 innings this season...Hernández has 159 K's and a 3.8 War this season...Hernández only 24 hopefully has a long career ahead of him with the Stars.... :D
