The Stars start the season slightly above .500 going 10-7 and 1.5 games behind Long Beach. The season started with a lot of excitement as the top rookie in the BBA Aaron Haney is the new CF for the Stars. Haney is hitting .282, already has 6 homers, 13 Rbi's and an OPS of .910... Stars are very excited about Haney future with the team...
The Stars start the season with some major injuries the first few weeks... Starting LF Frank Mahaffey Fractured thumb and He's expected to miss about 6 weeks. Frank Mahaffey only saw 2 AB before the injury. Last season Mahaffey had another special year smashing 50 homers and 107 RBI'S...The Stars are going to have to wait until May to see Mahaffey in the lineup...
Another injury was 3B Kiichi Suzuki . Suzuki has been the Stars 3B for 6 years now...Last season Suzuki hit .243 with 26 homeruns....Over the 5 years Suzuki has hit .261 116 homers...
Suzuki will be back in May too...
