The Stars start 2039 very flat, one game below .500 and 5 games behind first place. Last year team which was one of the best offense teams is struggling this season. The Stars Team Batting Average is ranked 14th, and Runs Scored and hits 13th and 12th over all. Its still only May but the offense needs to ramp it up soon to stay in the payoff race. The Stars are 4 games out of the wild card slot. The good news is the Stars have won 6 of there last 10 games.

On the other side the pitching has been the biggest surprise. The team ERA is second in the league with a 3.78 and the bullpen has finally come around with a league leading ERA of 3.08... So if the pitching stays strong and the offense picks up soon the Stars can be in a position to make a run to the playoffs...

SP Lee McHone is off to a great start for the Stars. The veteran McHone in 9 games started is 6-1 3.19 ERA.. In 2033 McHone won 12 games with Long Beach to he's on pace to equal or do better. Last year with Valencia McHone won 8 games with an ERA of 4.56...

CF Ramón Pagán is off to an amazing start in 2039. Pagán top hitter in the Frick League in April after batting .330, hitting 13 home runs, scoring 18 runs and driving in 25. Overall Pagan is hitting .288 17 homeruns and has 35 RBI'S so far in 2039.. Just a fantastic start for the 22 year old Pagan...
Now if the rest of the team can start hitting, watch out..
