The Stars had themselves one of the best offensive seasons in Stars history. The Stars pounded out 300 homers last season which is really amazing year. Every player on the Stars starting lineup hit double digit homeruns. The Stars were lead by SS Ángel Zalapa who hit 51 homers and drove in 132 runs. The 51 homeruns were the second most in Stars history. Back in 1985 OF Davis Birch 66 to hold the Stars record. Zalapa 132 Rbi's was a season high record. Zalapa surpassed HOF catcher Jason Dunn who's best season Dunn had 119 Rbi's... What a fantastic achievement for the 23 year old Star...
CF Ramón Pagán who is only 21 had 46 homers which tied him with outfielder Danny Masutto who had 46 homers back in 1974. Danny Masutto is 4th on the all time Stars all time list with 223 and Dunn ended his career with 450 homers for the Stars.

LF Frank Mahaffey had 38 homers and 112 Rbi's last season. Frank Mahaffey now moves up on the Stars all time homerun list to number with 186 homers over his first 5 seasons. With another good season Mahaffey could move up in the top 4 or 5 in homeruns in Stars history.

3B Kiichi Suzuki had 36 homers and 103 RBI'S,
INF Curt Love had 27 and OF
Wilton Rivera had 26 homers...Rivera also had 45 doubles and that tied him with the 4th most doubles in a season with Clint Hurdle...
2039 should be another exciting season for the Stars and fans to watch...

The bats alone will make the Stars a competitor. Finding a few arms will make them division winners, he says, stating the obvious.
