Valencia Stars: Wild Card

The Valencia Stars saw there first playoff series in 14 loooong seasons. What a great year from all the young Stars this season. Last season the Stars ended up with 65 wins and this season an incredible 87 win season which is a 22 game pick up over last season...
The Stars played Seattle in the playoffs in the wildcard series and what was Valencia biggest fear was there starting pitching. Over the 4 games the Stars allowed 21 runs while scoring 13 runs. With a little better pitching the Stars could of keep it closer. The only Star starter to get past 5 innings was Starter Lee McHone as he pitched a fantasic game to give the Stars there first playoff win in 14 years. McHone pitched a solid 7 innings, allowing only 2 hits and zero runs with 7 K's...Outfielder Wilton Rivera had a good series hitting .313 1 homer and 1B Mike Ellis hit .316 with 2 Rbi's. INF Curt Love did hit .400 but all 4 of his hits were in the first game...
Hopefully 2039 the Stars can do slightly better and get into the playoffs again
