The Stars are still hanging onto second place and are in the running for a wildcard position. The offense for the Stars have been really caring this team and the Starting Pitching has got a little better but the pen still is plan awful.
The Stars made a small deal today to get a few more RP to help with the run to the playoffs. The Stars gave up minor leaguer SP Thomas Rodríguez who could be ready in a few years possibility as a 4 starter and 20 year old Norio Hayashi. The Stars picked up 2 RP that hopefully can help this team, 26 year old Gilberto Tovar who is having a awful season but needs a change could help and 21 year old Santiago Díaz who will be in the Stars pen along time. Lets see how these two guys do. The Stars are still looking for a starting pitcher...
The Stars starter Gerald Keynes is quietly having a very good season. Keynes in 17 starts is 10-1 with a 3.08 Era..Keynes best year twice he won 11 games but this year he could get 12-15 wins this season...
Outfielder Wilton Rivera won BBA FL Player of the Week Award. Rivera, the 24-year-old right fielder had a lofty .565 average (13-for-23), collecting 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Overall Rivera is hitting .295 34 doubles, 20 homeruns, 53 Rbis with a .399 OBP... Rivera is having his best season so far this year....

Valencia could be a sleeper team. That offense is probably the best in the BBA. Aaron Haney is ready to come up... but whose spot does he take? The whole lineup is raking. Pitching might be a step behind the big boys, but it looks like Lee is serious about adding a nice piece or two. I like to root for the underdogs, so I'm on the Valencia train.
