Valencia Stars: 65-97 (.401) # 8 Final

The Stars ended a very frustrating year in 2037 winning only 65 games. The Stars have one of the youngest teams in the league and hopefully as they age there will all get better and the wins will start happening.
Although the Stars had a major improvement on the offensive side. Homeruns were at 256 which is 3rd overall in the JY. The Stars had 6 players with 20 homers or more this season. Leading the way and having a career year was Leftfielder Frank Mahaffey.26 year old Mahaffey starts in 2037 were .310 batting average 33 doubles 44 homers and 117 Rbi's. Mahaffey in his first 4 seasons now has 148 homeruns.

INF Curt Love had a monster year too. The 22 year old Love hit .266 33 homers and 98 Rbi's. This was Love's first full year with the Stars. Love played in 97 games last season and hit .230 with 19 homers.

Outfielder Wilton Rivera in his 3rd season with the Stars the 23 year old had his best season hitting .277 32 homers and 89 Rbi's, and had 44 doubles too... Rivera has had 2 years in a roll with over 30 homers.

22 year old SS Ángel Zalapa had a terrfic year considering he was out for 6 weeks. Even with being out Zalapa
hit .285 30 89 for the year. If Zalapa can stay healthy in 2038 we could see him hit 40 homers and drive in 100 runs...

3B Kiichi Suzuki had a sold year hitting .255 26 and 85 Rbi's...In 2036 and 2037 Suzuki hit almsot a mirror of each year. The 22 year old 3B hopefully next season can increase his batting average and have a better 2038.

CF Ramón Pagán who is the youngest starter at 20 years old had a really good season. Pagán hit .273 37 doubles
6 triples, 23 homeruns, and 72 Rbi's, plus added 31 stolen bases. Pagán will be the Stars CF for years to come and will only get better.

As you can see the young offence is coming around and getting better. On the other hand the pitching was awful, the worst ever. If the Stars pirching can improve then 2038 will be a much better season...
