The Stars had a very strong June. Valencia went 17-10 which is the best month in a long time for the Stars. Hopefully we see more months like this as the season keeps going.

Wilton Rivera has been on fire and again he won Frick League Player of the Week honors with a standout performance in last week's games. This is now twice in the last 5 weeks he has won. Rivera the 23-year-old right fielder had a lofty .462 average (12-for-26), collecting 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored. Over all Rivera is hitting .278 22 homers 54 RBI'S and a .376 OBP.. Rivera is on the pace to hit 35-40 homers this season. Rivera is only getting better each season...

Third-Basemen Kiichi Suzuki had one of his best days of his early career so far. he 22-year-old Suzuki got 5 hits in 5 at-bats. . Kiichi Suzuki singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mario Villarreal in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Suzuki is now hitting .272 11 homers and 43 RBI'S...

INF Curt Love has been on fire the last 7 days. 22 year old Love hit .370 with 5 homers over that spand of 7 games. Love is now hitting .261 with 17 homers and 49 RBI'S. Love got called up last year and played in 97 games where he hit .230 19 homers. He is steadily improving and looks like he could hit 30 homers this season...

20 Year old DH Martin Felix, Jr. was called up in June as the new DH for the Stars. Felix was only in AA ball hitting only .264 but had an OBP of .346 so the Stars too a chance on him as the new DH. So far Felix has shown him he belongs. In 13 games Felix is hitting .388, with 8 doubles out of his first 19 AB and .436 OBP. Its only 13 games but what a great start..Felix was drafted in 2034 first-year player draft (Round 3, Pick 2, 69th overall pick) by the Valencia Stars.
