Valencia Stars:

Post by leejay56 » Sat Nov 10, 2018 3:48 am

From Vietnam

Valencia Stars 66-90

The Stars season is winding down. Another year well below the target of a .500 team. Most of the starting team is very young and hopefully within a few years they will get much better.

This season has shown on the offensive side allot of improvement. This years Star team showed a lot of power for these young players. The Stars hit a whopping 222 homeruns so far this season. The Stars had 3 players with 30 plus homers and one with 29 so it could end up 4 players hitting over 30 homers.
25 year old Frank Mahaffey hit 33 homers so far with 88 RBIs. Last year he did hit 38 homers so he now has his first 3 seasons hitting 30 homers plus each season.

Rookie SS Ángel 'Poison' Zalapa had a terrific season. Zalapa is hitting .266 33 90 stat line. Zalapa just turned 21 so he has a big future ahead of him.

22 year old Wilton Rivera is in his second year and he hit 17 homers last season as a rookie but this season he hit 32 and drove in 82 runs. Once Rivera can get his average up he can be a very productive hitter. The same with Zalapa and
Mahaffey.

First baseman Vincente Sánchez showed his power this season with 29 dingers which by far it’s his most productive season. Last season he hit only 14 homers.
