Valencia Stars: 54-66 (.450) # 4

The Stars have a very young team that hopefully will start coming together in the next few seasons. The Stars need to start to learn how to start winning together.
Today the Stars will start looking at who they have in the minors and give them a shot at making the team next season. So the Stars waived a few vets to make room. 33 Year old Orlando Rivera whos ERA is 5.82 and 31 Year old Carlos Medina who's ERA is 6.98 who just cant cut it on this roster.
To make room the Stars have added 22 year old Simón Bautista. Bautista will get a few looks as a starter but next season could be a setup guy. Bautista had 65 K's in 42 innings and picked up 18 saves in the minors..

The Stars will look at 22 year old José Martínez. Martínez has 3 good pitches and will be given a shot at starting a few games and back to a middle relief guy. José Martínez does have 108 K's in 95 innings in the minors.

The Stars will also look at 24 year RP Gerard Ledermann.Ledermann had a 2.90 ERA with 28 K's in 31 innings before the call up. Last season he got a call up that ended up not so good with a 7.47 ERA in 10 Games.

The last pitcher to get a look at is 25 year old Steve Ybarra. Ybarra will be getting a long look since his time could be running out. Ybarra has seen some action the last 2 seasons with a total of 8 games but his ERA is over 6.00... Ybarra like the others will start a few games and come in as a middle relief pitcher...

The Stars will add a few more pitchers when September call ups can be added. Hopefully the Stars can add one or two of these guys for next season. :pickles: :pickles: :pickles:

Bautista and Martinez will be interesting to watch. Very low movement, but nice everywhere else. Worth using the last few weeks to look at them.
