The Stars have fallen to last place and one of the top 4 worst teams in the league. There are some bright spots during the season and with a solid minor leagues the Stars will see some more new faces over the next few seasons.
INFHarlan W. Moore has finally come back after being injured all year. He gives the Stars a good bat at the top of the lineup with great speed and a solid D. His last full season he had a 4.3 WAR and the Stars can really need him next season without and injuries. How important is the 4.3 WAR, well no one this season is doing that good. Moore can be a big impact if he places a full season next season.
OF Frank Mahaffey is in his second season with the Stars. The 24 year old last season hit .267 32 and 85 RBI'S. Not bad for his rookie season. This season Mahaffey is hitting .281 35 90, with a 3.7 WAR compared to his 2.4 WAR from last season. Mahaffey is looking better this season and since 9/8 he has 5 homers in 25 AB driving in 9 runs.
SP Mauro Flores continues having another solid year at the front of the Stars rotation. Flores is 11-7 3.63, in 188 innings he has 212 K's and a 4.7 WAR. The big question this off season do the Stars try to move him. Flores is one of the best SP in the league.

It's been a particularly tough year for Valencia. It was looking so good for awhile, though. Moore's being out hurt quite a bit, but at 29 he's almost some kind of walking infirmary stay waiting to happen.

There's a few exciting position player prospects in the Valencia system looking to make a BBA appearance in 2-3 seasons.
With their rookie contracts and a a few well timed free agents, I could see the beginnings of a nice run.

That's the plan that hopefully the rookies come up and we can start winning again.
