The Stars really haven't clicked yet as both the offense and pitching haven't done much consistently to create more wins. So far this season injuries have plagued the Stars. The Stars lose All-Star SS Harlan W. Moore will miss 3 months with a torn labrum. Moore suffered the injury throwing the ball. This year Moore has collected a .345 batting average to date with 50 hits in 145 at-bats, 11 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 20 times. He has played in 38 games. Allot of games to be missed by Moore. Moore should be back in August.
Closer David Gutiérrez has gone down with another injury. Gutiérrez has a Strained oblique and will miss 5 weeks in total. Before Gutiérrez went down he was 1-0 5 saves and a .270 ERA. Last season he missed almost 3 months. Gutiérrez has 80 career saves since 2030, 5 seasons.
Outfielder Manuel Freyta has gone down twice this season. First he Injured his Herniated disc (back), out for 3-4 weeks, and right after he was better he Strained hamstring which put him out another 4 weeks. Freyta was hitting .284 before he went down. So with the Stars missing Moore and Freyta there missing there number 1 and 2 hitter.
