The Stars future is there minors. Another disappointing season but over the next few seasons the future looks much better. The Stars have some solid minor league players who will make a huge difference. Below are the Stars top pitching specs...

Future Starting Pitching

18 Year old SP Julián Randín was drafted last year in round 2 has the potential to be a number 1 or 2 starting pitcher. Randín throws hard, his fastball runs 98-100 and has 3 very good pitches and working on a 4th. Already Randín has moved to single A ball and is holding is own. In 11 starts Randín is 6-4 4.36 era and has 2 complete games. Randín can go deep into games and the Stars expect him to be a 7 inning or more starter, the type of starter to give the bullpen a rest. Randín probably has another 3-4 seasons until he makes it to Valencia if he continues to develop.

20 Year Old SP Gerald Keynes was drafted in the second round in 2030. Keynes could be ready next season or for sure in two seasons. Keynes another hard throwing SP and has his fastball ranging 99-101. The kids throws smoke. Keynes has 3 solid pitches and can hold his own against most hitters. Keynes has stuggled some at AAA ball going 7-12 4.78 ERA, so he might need one more season next year in AAA.

17 Year Old SP Thomas Rodríguez was drafted this season in the second round and is doing ok as he is on his second team this season. Rodríguez throws 94-96 and has 4 solid pitches. At 17 he has a long way to go. This year at rookie ball was 1-2 2.72 era then got moved up and is 6-5 5.16 ERA.. Hopefully Rodríguez develops into a 1-2 starter in the next 4 seasons...
