The Stars game out ready to have a better season. The Stars added more offense to putting around SS Harlan W. Moore. Moore had a great 5 games hitting .368 then it happened. It was a freak accident as Moore will miss the rest of the season after breaking his leg trying to jump on home plate. Moore hit a home run and when trying to jump on home plate to celebrate with his teammates, he flubbed the landing and broke his leg. Moore will miss the remainder of the season. Can you believe that!!
The Stars brought up 21 year old Hiroshi Hishikawa who cant really hit but is a wizard at SS.. Hishikawa was only a .250 in the minors but what great range and arm at SS..

The Stars added a few players from the waiver wire. First pickup was 24 year old António Lara. Lara gives the Stars more young depth in the outfield. Lara will get to see some action right away as he will start this week in LF.. He hit .303 in 67 games at AA ball. Hopefully he is ready to play at the next level. Lara biggest waekness is his defense.

The Stars also pick up RP Timo van Oosterom. Oosterom does have a career ERA of 3.50 and the Stars could use extra help there this season. Oosterom hopefully with 5 years of experiance will help and bring a little leadership to the team...

Hopefully it doesn't take him as long to recover as it did for Kendrys Morales.
