The Stars still remain in 6th place trailing Vancouver by 5 games. The Stars fell further behind after a 2-8 week and loss 3 games to Vancouver in a roll. The Stars 35 wins put them with the second worst record in the BBA. Edmonton has 32 wins this season as the worst team.

The good news for the Stars is the minor league team went from 22 to the 9th overall rated team. Allot of those young players could be brought up over the next 2-4 seasons. The first rookie the Stars could see in 2 seasons is LF Frank Mahaffey. Mahaffey
started the season slow but in July his numbers are looking very encouraging. So far in July Mahaffey in 39 at bats has smashed 5 homers and is hitting .333. This season is his first stop in AAA and he is hitting .251 15 homers 60 RBI'S...The Stars feel Mahaffey can be there full time LF buy 2035.

SS Harlan W. Moore bat is finally coming alive. So far in July, Moore is hitting .457. Moore in July has had 2 four hit games. First one when Moore went 4-4 against the Las Vegas Hustlers, with 2 RBI and 1 runs scored. Nine days later Moore goes 4-5 against the Yellow Springs Nine, with 1 RBI and 0 runs scored. Overall Moore is hitting .284 with 22 doubles and with his blazing speed he has swiped 45 bases.

Outfielder Tom Cosenzawho has been a bright spot in the Stars lineup had one of his best games yesterday. Cosenza goes 4-5 against the Yellow Springs Nine, with 4 RBI and 3 runs scored and two of those hits were homeruns. Cosenza is hitting .297 9 27 stat line as the Satrs leadoff hitter. Also Cosenza has 30 stole bases.................
