The Valencia Stars have had the injury bug this season and the team just looks awful. the Stars offense and pitching both are in last place and just cant get any momentum. Although there have been some bright spots.

DH William McIntyre went 1-for-3 in a game vs Edmonton and reached the 2000-hit mark. In his career McIntyre has racked up 2034 hits with a .273 average and .338 on-base percentage. His numbers include 292 doubles, 90 triples, and 198 home runs, along with 1065 runs scored and 795 RBIs. McIntyre has swiped 521 bases too.. At 39 he keeps on hitting, this season he is at .276 8 25...

SP Mauro Flores was selected to the Brewster Baseball Association All-Star Game, which he pitched a perfect one inning. Flores has had an amazing season considering he cant get any support. In 19 games Flores is 6-7 147 K's in 117 innings and has a 3.44 ERA. Flores this season has thrown a one-hitter which was his best game..

Rookie SP Aurelio Fernández who was brought up in May pitched his best game in June as he pitches a 3-hit shutout against the Calgary Pioneers with 10 strikeouts and 0 BB allowed! Fernandez 21 has been struggling but hopefully with this year under his belt he can become a solid number 3 starter for the Stars...
