The Valencia Stars made some more moves that brought a few players to add in this season...With the Stars minor system one of the worst, The Stars added a few younger vets to fill a few gaps and get a little younger at the same time...

The Stars landed outfielder Stephen Ireland...The Stars expect Ireland, 28 years old, to fill an immediate void on the roster and felt the deal would solidify them as a playoff contender. Ireland is hitting the ball at a .256 clip over his career. In 261 games he has delivered 195 hits, 32 home runs with 107 RBIs and scored 119 times. Ireland also has some good speed and plays a solid defense...

The Stars also picked up 3B/SS Dexter Morgan... In his all-time stats Morgan is hitting .238 with 724 hits, 117 home runs, 396 runs scored and 403 RBIs. Morgan, 29 years old, another player who can play defense and hit some type of players...Between both players the Stars D is better and should pick up 30 homers and 80-100 RBIS...Last season White had 11 homeruns and 46 RBI'S, so hopefully the two will be better...

Good luck with Ireland. I was hoping the exact same thing of him last year for Brooklyn and he kinda stunk.
