After a horrid start for the Stars in April going 9-18 and losing there CF Jared Delger on a career ending injury the Stars have regrouped some and so far in May have done better going 13-6 to give the Stars an overall record of 22-24... The Stars have a long way to go but hopefully this streak can continue for the Stars to catch up to the hot California team...

Starting Pitcher Julian Anderson after a slow start has been hot his last four games...Over the last four games Anderson is 3-1 0.97 ERA...In a game vs Greenville Moonshiners, pitched the Stars to a 3-0 win, yielding 2 hits with 13 strikeouts and 1 walk, in 12 innings...Overall the 28 year old Anderson is 3-6 with a 3.01 ERA....

Over the last two weeks Catcher Jason Dunn had two four hit games...The first one, Dunn hits 2 home runs against the Vancouver Mounties, going 4-5 with 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. Then a week later Dunn goes 4-5 against the Louisville Sluggers, with 2 RBI and 1 runs scored. Overall Dunn is hitting .316 9 homers and has 27 RBIS....

All Star 3B Kevin Minuso went down with an injury...The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the third baseman will miss 5-6 weeks with torn ankle ligaments. Minuso suffered the injury running the bases in the game against the Crusaders. Minuso is batting .344 this season in 33 games with 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 44 hits in 128 at-bats.
