The Stars just clinched 1st place with there 95 games this year...Right behind them is the California Crusaders by 3 games and the Stars play the final two games vs the Crusaders...Although with a 3 game lead the Stars will rest there top starters and key players...Although last game young 2B Caleb Boyette went down with a Injured fractured finger and will be out for 4 weeks..Boyette 24 yrs old in his first full season with the Stars hit .262 14 65 in 147 games played...Boyette needs to improve next year on his stikeouts as he fanned 129 times this season while only walking 30 times...Backup 2B Cristian Pellegrinowill get a shot at starting during the playoffs... In 17 games off the bench Pellegrino hit .438 a verry good contact hitter with zero power....Also just off the DL is the other backup 2B vet Jeff Treadway..Treadway had (post-concussion syndrome), and was out for 4 months..Treadway is a career .300 hitter and will give the Stars more depth with a lefty batter...

Pellegrino batted .381 in the playoffs for the Stars. I like this guy.
