The reaper paid a visit to Russelville and nobody on the coaching staff was spared. Manager Javier Francisco – Gone, Pitching Coach Elmar Baas – Gone, Hitting Coach Mick Nancekivell – Gone!
The record for the rookie club in the Valencia system improved from 27-41 in 2058 to 33-35 in 2059. But that was not good enough for the front office folks as they have put a lot of talent into the rookie system via free agency and the draft. Also, there was not much development happening to move many of those players to the Short Season A Saturn club.
What is being called by GM Greathouse as the Russelville Purge Experiment, three new personnel have been brought into the club to breath new live into the organization from the ground up. The total accumulated experience between the three new members total 0.
What??? Exclaimed the press corp when the announcement was made. The front office then tried to explain that it scoured around the periphery of the league to find potential coaches who rated well with less than two years of experience.
The new manager of the club is Hayden Froggett. Hayden rates as Good on Development and Excellent on Mechanics compared to the Good and Fair ratings of his predecessor. Hayden also rates better than Francisco on teaching hitting and pitching with an average in both of those areas.
Now residing as the pitching coach is Cristobal Acosta. Cris has been touted as an unknown wizard with an Excellent rating on Development and an Outstanding rating on Mechanics. Cris also has an Excellent rating on teaching pitching while Baas had Good/Avg/OK ratings in those three areas. With the 2059 version of the rockets finishing 11th out of 16 teams in ERA, this was a point of emphasis for the front office.
Rounding out the new Russelville crew is Luis Gutierrez. Luis does not rate out as well as Acosta but still holds his own with a Good rating on development, and Average ratings on Mechanics/Teaching Hitting. His predecessor ranked out as Fair/Avg/OK in those areas.
Will this actually bring any results in 2060 and beyond is anyone’s guess. With the GM’s past history in Jacksonville and trying to grow pitching within the organization, the Purge will have a huge effect one way or the other.

I've had a lot of success with my rookie league once I changed the manager several seasons ago. Can't keep the rest of the staff though. Good luck!
