More one run losses - 2064.46

Bikini 10 Hawaii 9- Friday, August 22, 2064

Attendance- 48,461 at ‘Iolani Palace

The Trops late game rally falls short at ‘Iolani Palace and they drop the series opener to the Krill. Hawaii starter Nalany Ahotaein gave up five runs in 4.1 innings then left the game for reliever Alex Garcia. Garcia and Ray Harrison were victimized by an error by SS Carlos Schumann that cost Garcia three unearned runs and Harrison two unearned.

The Trops offense did put up nine runs on the Krill on 15 hits and a walk. Schumann’s bright spot was going 4 for 4 with three doubles (31), scored three runs and drove in two. Roberto Lopez moved to the infield to play third and was 2 for 5 with two ribbies.

Hawaii 9 Bikini 3- Saturday, August 23, 2064

WP- Leland ‘Griz’ Rogers (1-2)

LP- Paul Glass (10-14)

Attendance- 47,248 at ‘Iolani Palace

The Hawaii offense takes advantage of the Krill’s defensive errors to put up nine runs again and give Leland Rogers his 1st win for the Trops. Rogers’s battery mate Bob Webb was 2 for 4with a Grand Slam (11) and an RBI double (19) to drive in five runs to lead the team.

Rogers tossed 91 pitches in five innings surrendering a couple of runs on four hits. He fanned six and walked none as he improves to 1-2 and gets his ERA below 6.00. Garcia made his 2nd appearance of the series allowing a solo homer and struck out a batter in 1.2 innings of work. Utkan Gocek was unhittable for 2.1 innings with three Ks.

Bikini 5 Hawaii 4- Sunday, August 24, 2064

WP- Felix Vidaca (4-3)

LP- Ray Harrison (6-5)

Save- Winston ‘Fast Lane’ Morris (30)

Attendance- 46,240 at ‘Iolani Palace

Another one-run loss. The Trops defense cost the team again with four errors in the game. Ray Harrison was victimized again having two unearned in his box score in an inning of work and took the loss. Gocek made another appearance and was tagged with a blown save (5) giving up the go ahead, run scoring hit.

The errors ruined a good start from Harry Spurlock. Spurlock threw six innings allowing three runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out five batters in a no decision.

Vicente ‘Yogi’ Martinez was 2 for 4 and slugged his 24th homer of the season with a solo shot in the 5th inning. Jorge Dodd was 2 for 3 with a couple of doubles (24), a walk, scored a run and drove in one.

Bikini 5 Hawaii 2- Monday, August 25, 2064

WP- Paul ‘Hit Squad’ Worboys (9-10)

LP- Martin ‘Lumps’ Garcia (6-10)

Save- Winston ‘Fast Lane’ Morris (31)

Attendance- 36,607 at ‘Iolani Palace

Bikini starter Paul Worboys picks up his 9th win allowing Hawaii just a run on five hits in 5.1 innings to lead the Krill to a series win. Brain Capps gave up Hawaii’s 2nd and last run of the game then ‘Fast Lane’ Morris earned his 3rd save of the series.

Trops starter Manny ‘Lumps’ Garcia allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk in 3.2 innings to take the loss. He falls to 6-10 with a 4.12 ERA. John Avery and Alex Garcia each gave up runs in their appearances to add to the Krill lead.

Atsushi Gato played center and played as the Tropics entire offense. ‘El Gato’ was 3 for 3 with an RBI double (3) and a solo homer (5). His teammate, Arata Ine, hit in front of him and was 2 for 4 and scored on his double.

The Bikini Krill win the four-game series 3-1.



We’re gonna have to use some PPT to add ‘El Gato’ as Gato’s nickname and ‘Rata’ as Ine’s. Then get a starter or two in the off-season.

Yep. I've been looking toward next season after Rogers trade. Still need a couple starters.
