The Trops take a three-run lead with a five-run 4th inning, but Utkan Gocek coughs up the lead and the game giving up a five-run rally to the Lumberjacks.
The Trops sent 10 batters to the plate in their outburst in the 4th inning. Julian Rivera was 2 for 4 with a double (20), scored a run and drove in a run.
Ruben bin Majid al Din made the start for Hawaii allowing two ones with one unearned. He allowed three hits, walked two and struck out two in a no decision.

The Tropics offense explodes for five -run inning but hold on this time to even the series with the Lumberjacks. The boys sent 8 men to the plate and the rally was powered by a three-run homer (25) Jorge Dodd and a solo shot (14) by Armando Medina. Medina hit his 2nd homer of the day in the 5th inning.
Daniel Thornton continues to have his issues starting games giving up four runs on none hits in 2.2 innings. He walked one and struck out one in a no decision. Jose Valle earned his 7th win but gave up two runs on two hits and a walk with a K.

Hawiai starter Semih Gurani had one of the worst starts in his career allowing nine runs on seven hits and a couple walks in just 1.1 innings of work. The bullpen ate the rest of the innings and runs allowing five more in 7.2 innings.
The offense scored just two runs off Murali Patachli in 5.1 innings then his bullpen snuffed out any comeback attempts. Jose Ordonez was 1 for 5 with a triple (3), an RBI and scored a run. Julian Rivera was 1 for 3 with a ribbie.

Hawaii rookie Vicente ‘Yogi’ Martinez hit a go-ahead two-run double (39) to put the Trops up for good in the 7th. Bob Westbrooks the threw 1.2 scoreless innings then Utkan Gocek recorded the last out for a cheap save.
Gheorghe Sollomovici allowed two runs on five hits and two walks in four innings. He fanned two in a no decision. Cale Cote earned the win to improve to 5-4 with a clean inning and a K.
The Trops and Lumberjacks split the four-game series.
The suck may be over. The Trops are 5-11 but may be coming out of their slumber. The schedule will play a big part with a four-game series in Bikini before it gets a bit easier with series in Long Beach and San Fernando.
