The Hawaii Tropics have hired recently retired pitcher Alaric Wullenweber to be their pitching coach of the AAA Death Valley Scorpions. Contract details haven't been announced as of this reporting.

The position came available when pitching coach Pablo Santana retired after 11 seasons in the Tropics Organization. He previously worked in the Des Moines Organization before his hire by the Tropics.

Wullenweber brings his 21 seasons of experience to the team that drafted him in the 2nd round/41st pick of the 2038 BBA Draft. He is probably the 2nd greatest pitcher to ever play in the Brewster with 310 career wins.

Tropics GM Jim Walker said, “Alaric will be a big asset for us in developing our pitching for the future. He will cut his teeth in Death Valley before eventually taking over the PC duties for the big club.”

I expect Santana retired after the Hawaiian syndicate offered to show him the view outside a high rise skyscraper in Maui.
