Angelo Lucchesi and Mitch Wareham each drive in three runs while Semih Gurani pitches 5.1 one-run innings to earn a win in the series opener.
Lucchesi was 3 for 5 with a bases loaded double (25) that plated all three runners. Wareham was 1 for 4 with a three-run homer (12) in the 6th inning. Na’il bin Hakim was 1 for 2 with a double (2), walked two times and scored two runs.
Gurani gave up his only run on a solo homer and allowed three hits in 5.1 innings as he earns his 5th win. He walked one and struck out three. Veteran reliever Troy ‘Teddy Bear’ Reynolds pitched 1.1 scoreless innings giving up just a hit with two Ks to earn his 6th hold.

The Krill offense grill the Tropics pitching staff for 9 runs to even the series 1-1. Hawaii starter Gerardo Rea took the loss after giving up five runs on six hits in 2.2 innings to fall to 5-7. If Bikini hitters weren’t tearing the cover off the ball Rea struck them out as he racked up five Ks in those 2.2 innings.
Lucchesi was 1 for 4 with a walk and an RBI. Carlos Sanchez was 2 for 4 with his 21st double with an RBI and scored a run.
Bikini 5 Hawaii 1- Saturday, August 20, 2061

LP- Jose Ordonez (3-9)

Hawaii starter Jose Ordonez gave up four runs and the offense could muster just one run against the Krill to fall again in Bikini. Ordonez allowed those runs on five hits and two walks in three innings of work. He struck out two and takes his 9th loss of the season.
Carlos Sanchez was 1 for 4 with a solo homer (9) in the 5th inning. Lucchesi put up two more hits with a single and a double (26).
Bikini 7 Hawaii 6 (11 innings)- Sunday, August 21, 2061

The Bikini Krill take a 6-0 lead over the Tropics, but the team fights back to tie the game in the 8th. It didn’t start well for Hawaii as starter Barney Lindsey gave up six runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out three in 3.2 innings. The Teddy Bear gave up the game winning run after a single, a stolen base and an error by Vincente Mendez.
Sanchez remains on fire going 2 for 5 with a two-run homer (10). Yodo “Fungo’ Sato was 1 for 5 with an RBI triple (5) in the 8th inning.
The Krill win the series 3-1.
