The Tropics make their next stop in Seattle for a two-game series against the Storm. Hawaii leads the season series 6-3.



Game 1- Seattle first baseman Francisco ‘River’ Martinez blasted two homers for the Storm in the series opener but Hawaii hitters blast three homers in the top of the 9th. The first blast of the inning was a two-run moon shot by Frank McMillan. Then Adhyapayana Mehta crushed a solo shot down the left field line and finally, Mike Campbell hit a majestic drive to right field 401 feet for a two-run ding dong johnson.

Mehta was 2 for 5, Campbell was 2 for 5 and McMillan was 1 for 1. Rookie Will Patterson was 1 for 4 with a three-run homer in the 2nd inning.

Terry Hansen pitched four innings for Hawaii allowing three runs on five hits and three walks with a K. Phil Thompson threw 1 1/3 innings of relief allowing a hit, walked one and fanned two. Juan Cerda blew his 5th save of the season after allowing a run on a hit and a walk. He struck out two batters in 1 2/3 innings. Dominic Thompson gave up two runs on four hits with two Ks. He pitched 1 2/3 innings and earned the win to Improve to 4-4 with a 4.09 ERA.



Hawaii wins 9-6.



Game 2- The Tropics get another big five run inning to earn the series sweep. Adhyapayana Mehta was 2 for 5 with two doubles, a run scored and two ribbies. The double in the 10th inning drove two runs for Hawaii. Mike Campbell was 2 for 4 with a walk and a triple. He scored a run, drove in a run and was caught stealing.

On the mound, Michael Kalil put it all together in this game. He threw 6 1/3 innings allowing a run on three hits with 10 Ks. Juan Cerda finished the 7th inning for Kalil without allowing a hit. Angel Hernandez pitched 1 2/3 innings allowing two hits with a walk. Jesus Rios earned the win after 2/3 of an inning with a K. He is 2-1 with a 1.88 ERA.



Hawaii wins 6-1.



The Tropics sweep the two-game series.
