The Hawaii Tropics open the 2052 Brewster Baseball Association season with a three-game series against the Seattle Storm at the King County Complex.

Game 1- Seattle first baseman Raul Fernandez had a big opening day going 3 for 4 against Hawaii pitching driving in three runs in the win. Hawaii Opening Day starter Semih Gurani was not good from the start as he allowed six runs on nine hits and a couple of walks. He struck out two but gave up a homer in just four innings of work. Relievers Alberto Castaneda and Dominic Thompson shut down the Seattle offense with two scoreless innings each.

At the plate, Rhys Brickelln and Angelo Lucchesi provided the Hawaii offense. Brickell was 2 for 2 with two walks and two runs scored while Lucchesi was 3 for 4 with a couple of RBI.

Seattle wins 6-2.

Game 2- Hawaii starter Michael Kalil was excellent in his first start of the season allowing a run on three hits over seven innings but Seattle starter Lucio Juarez was a bit better shutting out Hawaii over 7 1/3 innings to get the win.

Kalil fanned seven batters and allowed just a solo homer but that was his undoing. Sumitomo Takahashi pitched a clean 2/3 of an inning to finish the game.

Angelo Lucchesi Thomas Kramer and Ron Shiplack were all 1 for 3.

Seattle wins 1-0.

Game 3- The Seattle Storm pound out 14 hits and score 11 runs to complete the series sweep of the Hawaii Tropics. Hawaii starter Austin George was battered for six runs on seven hits and three walks over just 2 2/3 innings. He gave up a two-run homer to Raul Fernandez in the third inning that ended his day. Ronnie Sprinkles didn’t fare any better as he allowed four runs on a Grand Slam. He pitched 3 1/3 innings giving up three hits and a walk.

Hawaii LF Ramao ‘Massacre’ Saturnino was 1 for 4 with a solo homer in the ninth inning and also had an outfield assist on defense throwing a runner out at home. Bart Henstock was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Rhys Brickell was 2 for 4 with a walk and a run scored. Thomas Kramer was 1 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Seattle wins 11-7.

The Storm sweeps the three-game series.
