The Hawaii Tropics travel to Seattle to play a two game series against the Storm before returning home again to start another home stand.
Game 1- The Hawaii Tropics dont have an answer for Seattle DH Yo Miyamoto. Miyamoto powered the Storm to a victory over the Trops with a homer and five ribbies. Seattle took advantage of some bad pitches thrown by Hawaii reliever Alberto Castaneda scoring four runs of him on two big homers.
Michael Kalil made the start for Hawaii going 5 2/3 innings allowing three runs on five hits and a couple of walks while striking out two batters.
Ramao ‘Massacre’ Saturnino was 2 for 4 with a couple of doubles, a run scored and drove in two runs.
Seattle wins 7-3.
Game 2- Seattle stuns the Tropics with a one run win in the series finale to complete the two game sweep. Hawaii starter Austin George made a quality start pitching six innings allowing two runs on eight hits and three walks. He fanned three batters but took the loss to fall to 4-8 with a 5.11 ERA.
Sumitomo Takahashi and Ronnie Sprinkles each pitched an inning of scoreless relief.
Back up catcher Katsumi Matsumoto was the Hawaii offense as he was 1 for 3 with a solo homer in the third inning.
Seattle wins 2-1.
