The Hawaii Tropics finish off their home stand with a two game series against he Seattle Storm at Diamond Head.



Game 1- The Hawaii pitching staff hold the Storm bats to two runs on six hits as the Tropics take the series opener. Austin George pitched five innings for the Trops allowing just a hit and issued four walks while striking out two batters. He improves to 3-2 with a 4.20 ERA.

Alberto Castaneda relieved George and threw 2 1/3 innings of shut out baseball giving up a hit while issueing a walk. He fanned two batters before yielding to Kirana Shivani. Shivani pitched an inning allowing a run, a hit and struck out a batter. Sumitomo Takahashi finished the game off getting the final two outs but not before allowing a run on three hits.

Tomas Guillen was 1 for 3 with a bases clearing double and a walk. He scored a run and drove in three. Sergio Feliz was 2 for 3 with a solo homer, two runs scored and an RBI.



Hawaii wins 6-2.



Game 2- The Hawaii Tropics earn the series sweep on a walk off homer off the bat of rookie phenom Carlos Sanchez. Sanchez finished the day 3 for 3 with three homers and two walks. He scored three runs and drove in six runs.

Adhyapayana Mehta was 3 for 4 with a walk, double, stole two bases and scored four runs. Rhys Brickell was 2 for 4 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI.

Troy ‘Teddy Bear’ Reynolds made his first Brewster start pitching five innings allowing five runs (two earned) on seven hits and a walk. He struck out three batters in a no decision.

Jason Wellon earned the win after pitching 1 2/3 innings giving up a hit, a walk and struck out a batter. He improves to 1-1 with a 1.95 ERA.



Hawaii wins 9-8.
