The Hawaii Tropics host the Valencia Stars in a three game series at Diamond Head. Valencia holds a 7-2 series advantage against Hawaii.



Game 1- Valencia SP Ken Arroyo held Hawaii hitters to three hits over seven innings to get his 12th win of the season. The Tropics managed just one more hit the rest of the way.

SP Yacker ’91 Cents’ Wiley pitched 5 1/3 innings allowing four runs on eight hits while fanning five batters in the loss. He falls to 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA.

Adhyapayana Mehta (1 for 4), Bernardo Garcia (1 for 4), Hong-vu ‘Topper’ Sam (1 for 2, walk) and Katsumi Matsumoto (1 for 3) recorded the only Hawaii hits.



Valencia wins 5-0.



Game 2- The Tropics get homers from Rhys Brickell and Ron Shiplack while SP Semih Gurani dazzles in another start as Hawaii evens the series 1-1.

Gurani pitched 6 2/3 innings allowing just a run on five hits, a walk and struck out four batters. He improves to 4-0 with a 1.38 ERA. Tye Whitford followed that up with a clean 1 1/3 innings of work. Finally, Luis Santiago pitched an inning to end the game.

Brickell was 1 for 4 with a two run homer, a run scored and three RBI while Shiplack was 1 for 2 with a walk and a solo homer. Bernard Garcia was 2 of 4 with a stolen base and two runs scored. Lorenzo Gonzales came on as an injury replacement for Enrique Hernandez going 2 for 3 with a double, a stolen base, a caught stealing and two RBI.



Hawaii wins 6-1.



Game 3- The Stars get a four run fourth inning and cruise to a rubber match win and series win over Hawaii. Tropics SP Ernie Poole was wild all day, allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits and three walks. He struck out three and falls to 7-13 with a 3.52 ERA.

Bernard Garcia was 3 for 4 with a double and a run scored. Adhyapayana Mehta was 1 for 4 with an RBI and a stolen base.



Valencia wins 7-2 and wins the series 2-1.
