The Hawaii Tropics make their next stop in Seattle for a two game series against the Storm. Hawaii is 7-2 against the Storm this season.



Game 1- Hawaii SP Yacker ’91 Cents’ Wiley gets only 9 cents of run support and help from his defense in his BBA debut. Wiley lasts 4 2/3 innings allowing five runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk. He struck out one batter and gets the loss in his first start.

Alberto Castaneda pitched well in relief with a clean 2 1/3 innings of work with two Ks. Denny Hamilton also threw a clean inning and fanned two batters.

Adhyapayana Mehta was 2 for 5 with a double and a homer. He scored two runs, drove in a run and committed an error on defense. Ron Shiplack was 1 for 3 with a walk and an RBI.



Seattle wins 5-2.



Game 2- Hawaii’s defense committed two more errors but their hitters produced some runs and SP Semih Gurani worked out of jams to get the win.

Gurani pitched 6 2/3 innings allowing a run on seven hits while walking three and struck out three. He earns his 2nd win and now has a 2.13 ERA.

On offense, Rookie CF Angelo Lucchesi finally showed what he could do with the bat. He was 2 for 5 with a solo homer and scored two runs. Stephen Cox was 2 for 2 with two walks, a run scored and two RBI. Adhyapayana Mehta was 2 for 5 with two runs scored and two stolen bases.



Hawaii wins 7-2 and splits the series with Seattle 1-1.
