I walked into the restaurant and waited for the hostess. It was a Turkish joint called Istanbul Hawaii near the airport. The hostess appeared out of no where dressed like an old Ottoman mother and she asked me, “For one?”
“No, I’m here to deliver bananas.”
She said, “You are expected, follow me.”
I followed her not to the dining area but through the kitchen. She knocked on the door once and then told me to enter. I walked in and she shut the door behind me. Seated at a table was Jim Walker eating a salad with a ton of croutons.
“Hello, Mr. Harris, sit down and eat and we can talk.”
I sat and got down to business.
“First thing, we may have been detected by Valencia. It has been tough for us to get anything done there. We can handle the issue "She" isn’t in place yet.”
Jim’s eyes brightened, “She?”
“Don’t even think it. She will eat you alive and not the way you would want.”
“Shit, go on.”
“Next is Phoenix. They conduct team business at various Denny’s around town. Luckily, we can still keep close.”
Walker said, “Careful with Phoenix. They have had a lot of bad luck. He may act crazy but it is all an act.”
“Speaking of crazy, sir. Sacramento has a strange cult going on there. They have a thing for Carlos Camacho. The Temple, for lack of a better word, is in an old "Wendy’s.”
“Ok”, Walker said, “Keep an eye that crazy Shoeless.”
“Lastly, the league office is a gold mine and it will take us a while to go through it all.”
Jim said, “Don’t worry about everything coming out of there. Just make sure league security doesn’t suspect anything.”
“Will do.”, I said.
